Statement

Frag-mento, 2023 (detail), Enamel screen print on found glass.

Combining printed textures with found 1970’s floral glass panes, Scaddan creates ‘mementos of the past’. In this work, light passes through photographic details of the surface of a body of water, adhered to the glass in fired enamel. This creates a fragmented scene that captures a new recollection of place, interrupted by motifs of a forgotten time when resources were plentiful.
